no login prompt in vm console

no login prompt in vm console
虚拟机终端没有登录提示

用xm console命令登录Xen创建的虚拟机, 屏幕上只显示启动时的信息, 没有登录提示, 按多次回车也有没反应, 如下:

按文档Console handling指示
需要在/etc/inittab增加一行xvc0, 并注释其它tty配置
co:2345:respawn:/sbin/agetty xvc0 9600 vt100-nav
#1:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty1
#2:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty2
#3:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty3
#4:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty4

在/etc/securetty增加一行
xvc0

修改完/etc/inittab后运行
init q
使之生效

再次连接虚拟机终端, 出现登录界面
# xm console 14

至于为何没有自动添加参数, 原因不明, 有可能是BUG

agent status shows negative available disk space

EM agent status shows negative available disk space
企业管理器代理状态显示可用磁盘空间为负数


问题:
Available disk space on upload filesystem    :    -7.17%
Collection Status                            : Disabled by Upload Manager
emctl status agent
出现上面的问题
但是df -h
才不到60%
10T,才用了6T

我都清了
也不成

这个就是错误

系统 是32位的
而patch只有64位的



回答:

你现在的文件大小超过设定的阈值了
所以显示为负的?
或者是你的硬盘太大了, 计算溢出了, 也是有可能的

先排除了如下问题
Problem: 'emctl status agent' Command Shows Collection Status Disabled By Upload Manager
upload目录文件大小超过了设定的阈值

后怀疑是硬盘太大导致, 果然发现是个BUG, AVAILABLE DISK SPACE ON UPLOAD FILESYSTEM IS NEGATIVE. 文档AGENT STATUS SHOWS AVAILABLE DISK SPACE AS A NEGATIVE VALUE说当agent所在的文件系统达到了TB级, 就会出现问题. 10.2.0.4确认了此BUG, 可以打补丁或升级到10.2.0.5版本.

因为服务器是32位的, 没有补丁可打, 后来把agent挪到了一个比较小的分区上, 解决了问题

unable to specify GMT timezone in kickstart in centos 5.3

安装centos/rhel 5.3时发现, 在kickstart文件中指定了系统时区
timezone --utc Etc/GMT
但是安装过程不能认出这个配置项, 仍然要人手工选择时区

这是一个已知的BUG
解决方法是, kickstart中指定一个可使用的时区, 然后再在%post修改为想要的时区, 比如:
...
timezone --utc America/New_York
...
%post
...
sed -i.orig '
/^ZONE=/c ZONE="Etc/GMT"
/^UTC=/c UTC=true
' /etc/sysconfig/clock
/usr/sbin/tzdata-update
...

该BUG还影响了其它一些时区, 描述见Why does Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3 prompt for a timezone when one is specified in the kickstart?

此BUG将在5.4版本被修复

sqlplus hangs on infinite calling times(null)



输入sqlplus回车没有反映,strace sqlplus跟踪发现在不停地调用times(NULL)

这是sqlplus 10.2.0.1的BUG, 在linux x86系统上如果运行时间大于249天就会发生
Bug 4612267 - OCI client spins when machine uptime >= 249 days
OCI clients may spin once the machine has been up for longer than
249 days (24.9 days on some machines).
The spin will show repeated calls to times() from sltrgatime64().

补丁:OCI CLIENT IS IN AN INFINITE LOOP WHEN MACHINE UPTIME HITS 248 DAYS
或升级到10.2.0.2及以后版本

customer confirmed that problem was resolved by install patch for 5868257.

ora-7445 _intel_fast_memcpy是同样的BUG啊?


看来以后装完Oracle后不仅要打PSR(Patch Set Release),CPU(Critical Patch Update),还必须打上最新的建议补丁集(Recommended Bundle),才能用啊, 尤其是RAC

经查询, 好像是这个BUG, Bug 7138239 - ORA-07445[_INTEL_FAST_MEMCPY.A()+10] FOR UPDATE


Details:
There is a problem with the fix from bug 4549673 which is included in 9.2.0.8 and 10.2.0.4 in that with that fix it is possible to get a dump under updgrh and/or private memory corruption. This issue can also cause malformed RCI information in the redo stream causing problems for log miner and Streams.
eg:
Corruption / dumps can occur when updating a migrated row where one of the columns is to be updated to NULL and an internal 1551 error occurs during the DML.(1551 errors are not visible to customers and are caught and handled internally)

Solution
To resolve this issue, you may choose any of these options:
1. Apply the 11.1.0.6 patchset which includes the bug fix.

3. If no patch is available, request a patch by creating a service request with Oracle Support.
